We are committed to protecting your privacy. Here's a breakdown of what we collect and why:
- For Teachers (Google Sign-In): When you sign in with Google, we securely receive your basic profile information (name, email address, profile picture) from Google. This is used solely to create your account, identify you as a teacher, and allow you to manage your classes. We never see or store your Google password.
- For Public Players (Google Sign-In): To participate in the daily leaderboard, we use your Google account for authentication. However, we do not store your name, email, or photo. We only save your unique Google ID along with your score and a randomly generated game name to display on the leaderboard.
- For Students (Class Code & PIN): Students do not need an email address or any personal accounts. We only store the name you, the teacher, assign to them within your class. All performance data is linked to an anonymous internal student ID, not to any personal contact information.
- Analytics Data: We collect anonymous performance data, such as which multiplication problems are answered correctly or incorrectly and how much time is taken. This data is aggregated to provide teachers with insights into class performance and to help us improve the application.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the service.
- To allow teachers to create and manage their classes and students.
- To provide students and classes with performance analytics.
- To operate the daily challenge and leaderboard.
- To improve the application and develop new features.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. All data is stored securely in Firebase (a Google service) and is protected by security rules to ensure that only authorized users (i.e., the teacher for their own class) can access it.
